If the location of your child's phone is not updating while he/she is on the go it is most likely because they have no data access through mobile data and/or wifi when out and about. This can also lead to geo-fence alerts not being sent to your parent app.
To check if the problem is due to lack of mobile data please go on the child's phone, select settings, choose wifi and switch it off. Now open a browser and try to google something or connect to another web-site. If this is not a problem and there is connection to mobile data, try to refresh your parent app by clicking the spinner in top right corner when your child is moving around outside the home and see if the location updates.
